It’s one of my favorite times of year… huckleberry season!
This is one of the many ways to enjoy the sweet tart goodness of these forest treats.

Huckleberry Dutch Baby

INGREDIENTS:
3 eggs
1 cup milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 Tablespoons maple syrup
1 cup flour
4 Tablespoon butter
3/4 cup huckleberries

 

 INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Preheat oven to 380 degrees
2. Whisk the wet ingredients
3. Slowly add the flour and mix until just combined
4. Put the butter in an oven-proof skillet (about – inches)
5. Put the pan into the oven to melt the butter
6. Pour half of the melted butter into the batter and stir to combine (leave half the butter in the skillet)
7. Pour the batter into the hot skillet
8. Sprinkle the huckleberries over the batter
9. Bake for about 30-35 minutes

Enjoy with maple syrup!
