Frequently Asked Questions

_________

How do I make a reservation for a tour?
Click on the “Reserve Now” button on the calendar or the tour page. You can also email elizabeth@foodandfarmtours.com to make a reservation.

How large are the groups?
The tours are small and intimate, with only 4-7 guests. Tours will be cancelled if the minimum of 4 guests is not met. Private tours and groups of up to 40 guests can be accommodated upon special request.

How much does it cost?
The Food & Farm Tours are $195 per person. Returning guests receive a $20 discount. Rates for custom tours and groups of 8 or more will vary, so please email elizabeth@foodandfarmtours.com for more information.

What is included?
The tour includes food tastings at every location, behind-the-scenes tours, a gourmet lunch, a printed tour guide, a Food & Farm Tours canvas bag and, of course, a friendly, knowledgeable guide!

Where do the tours meet?
The tours meet in either Point Reyes Station or Marshall. Directions and meeting times will be emailed to you when you make a reservation. If you need transportation to West Marin, a private driver can be provided for an additional charge.

What is the cancellation policy?
Food & Farm Tours require advanced planning and coordination with many businesses and guests, so last minute changes are difficult. Refunds are not available, but you may reschedule a tour. If you need to cancel within 10 days of the tour, a $50 per person rescheduling fee will apply. 4 guests are required to run a tour. If there are not enough guests, a refund will be issued.

Can children come?
The content of the tours is not geared for children, but they are welcome to come on the tours. Elizabeth spent years working as a teacher and is great at keeping kids engaged. Please bring a car seat for infants or small children.

Can special eating restrictions be accommodated?
Yes! Vegetarians and gluten-free guests have come on the Food & Farm Tours and enjoyed it immensely! Please email any dietary restrictions ahead of time.

What happens if it rains?
We carry on! Rainy day tours are a great adventure – West Marin is magical in the rain!

Should I tip?
Gratuities are greatly appreciated if you enjoy your experience. This allows Food & Farm Tours to generously tip the other businesses as well!
